‘Morbius’: the first trailer for this film was revealed that will star Jared Leto playing a grotesque vampire

Leto, who had a disappointing step in DC Comics for his really nefarious portrayal as the ‘Joker’ in the first installment of ‘The Suicide Squad‘, the American actor wanted to try his luck at Marvel and will try to vindicate himself in this film that it will have a lot of dark tones and some pretty terrifying components.

The character of ‘Morbius’ was created by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane and first appeared in’ Amazing Spider-Man # 101 ′ (October 1971). Morbius vowed only to hunt down criminals only. However, his actions usually cause him conflict with most of the other heroes, especially Spider-Man.

This movie It will be directed by Daniel Espinosa and will be released in theaters on January 18, 2022. Jared Leto will be accompanied in this film by Michael Keaton, Tyrese Gibson, Jared Harris, Adria Arjona, Matt Smith, Archie Renaux, Corey Johnson, Clara Rosager, Al Madrigal, Ruth Horrocks, Amanda Pérez, among other actors.

The first trailer for ‘Morbius’ shows a number of references from both Marvel and Sony Pictures, among which we can highlight the mural of Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man painting on the wall, the Oscorp logo, multiple nods to Black Cat and Rhino from Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man in the Daily Bugle, Michael Keaton’s Vulture, and the mention of Tom Hardy’s Venom.
