Nayib Bukele on the fall of Bitcoin: “Stop looking at the graph and enjoy life”

The president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, pointed out this Saturday night (06.18.2022) in his account of Twitter that “patience” is “the key” when investing in Bitcoina cryptocurrency that has been legal tender in the Central American country since September 2021 and is the best known on the market.

“I see that some people are concerned or anxious about the price of Bitcoin in the market. My advice: stop looking at the graph and enjoy life”, published Bukele in said social network. He pointed out that “if they invested in BTC, their investment is safe and its value will grow a lot after the bear market“. And he added: “Patience is the key.”

The Salvadoran president’s publication comes at a time when the Bitcoin fell below $20,000 this Saturday, for the first time since December 2020, in a generalized environment of crashes that affects the sector. According to the website Coinmetricsthe Bitcoin has lost more than 7% in the last 24 hours and at 10:00 New York time (14:00 GMT) it was paid for a Bitcoin $19,175.

The biggest drop in Bitcoin occurred on June 13, when it lost 15%, after learning that the cryptocurrency trading platform Celsius Network it suspended all transactions between clients and vetoed the withdrawal of capital due to “extreme conditions” in the market.

Between September 6, 2021 and May 9, 2022, El Salvador has accumulated 2,301 bitcoins for more than 100 million dollars. The investments in 10 purchases announced by Bukele, and of which no information is provided beyond the president’s tweets, range between 30,700 and 58,000 dollars.
