A new record of daily cases of coronavirus has been registered in Los Angeles County after being reported this Thursday 37,215, an impressive figure that shows that the authorities’ fears regarding possible infections during the end of the year holidays were well founded.

The previous record for new COVID-19 cases in the most populous county in the United States was 27,091, set just last Friday. In addition, the total hospitalizations in the county for the coronavirus exceeded 2,600.

Barbara Ferrer, the county’s director of public health, told reporters that despite everything trust the Super Bowl to take place in Inglewood as scheduled for February 13. This week it was learned that the NFL is exploring the possibility of alternate venues in case of emergency.
