Televisa announced through its social networks that the new season of ‘¿Quién es la máscara?’ will debut on Sunday, October 16, on Las Estrellas, filling the place left by ‘El Retador,’ which is scheduled to come to an end this coming October 9.
Through a 20-second clip, the San Angel TV station announced that the new season would arrive to entertain viewers and at the same time give competition to MasterChef Celebrity Mexico, TV Azteca’s star show that sweeps the Sunday ratings.
It is worth noting that the announcement would confirm rumors that El Retador is leaving the air due to low ratings, in addition to being involved in strong controversies between its judges and its participants such as Arath de la Torre and Pierre Angelo or Dulce and Lupillo Rivera, among others.
What is known about the new season?

Galilea Montijo joins the cast in place of Mónica Huarte, and Omar Chaparro returns to directing.
Is it too early to know more details about the new season of ‘¿Quién es la máscara? However, the show’s production has revealed that Galilea Montijo is joining the cast of investigators to replace Mónica Huarte and that Omar Chaparro has arrived to replace Adrián Uribe as host.
Another new addition is that Marisol González replaces Alan Estrada as the backstage host. Yuri, Juanpa Zurita, and Carlos Rivera continue to be part of the investigative team, who, week after week, will have to guess the identity of the celebrities hiding under the costumes based on the clues revealed.
Where to see ¿Quién es la máscara?

A new celebrity will join Vadhir Derbez, María León, and Kalimba in the show’s winners circle.
As previously mentioned by La Verdad Noticias, the new season of ‘¿Quién es la máscara?’ will premiere next Sunday, October 16, at 8:30 pm (Mexico City time) on Las Estrellas, but can also be enjoyed on the Blim TV platform.
