New York disaster: Mets manager arrested for driving while intoxicated

Controversies continue within the New York Mets. First, the clash between Francisco Lindor and Javier Báez with the fans. Months earlier, General Manager Jared Porter was fired following revelations that he sent sexually explicit images and text messages to a reporter. And lately, Parker’s stand-in, Zack Scott, it was stopped under the accusation of “driving while intoxicated“.

Scott was arrested last Tuesday morning. The situation was inevitable: the cops found him asleep in front of a red light. It was easy to deduce the status of the interim general manager. However, he did not agree to take a breathalyzer test.

After learning what happened in the morning, the Mets did not have any kind of concession: “We take this matter very seriously. Zack will not travel with the team for the next tour, while we will continue to inform ourselves and determine the next steps“.

Hours later, what everyone expected was confirmed: “The Mets have put Zack Scott on administrative leave until further notice. Mets team president Sandy Alderson will assume responsibilities from Zack“The New York Mets account posted on Twitter.

They are the New York disaster.
