One woman was killed and two others seriously injured when their Tesla car crashed into a tree in Woodland Hills.

One woman died and two more were seriously injured after the Tesla car they were traveling in crashed into a tree on Saturday night in Woodland Hills..

Authorities reported that the accident happened approximately at 10 p.m. in the 22000 block of Dumetz Road, near Topanga Canyon Boulevard.

When the emergency services arrived at the scene, they found two of the women trapped inside the vehicle, so they were rescued by elements of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The third victim was found outside the Tesla car, on the sidewalk.

Two of the victims were taken in critical condition to a regional trauma medical center for care, while the third woman died at the scene of the accident.

Authorities said none of the women have been identified and only reported that they were young.

The traffic was temporary interrupted on Dumetz Road while investigations into the accident were carried out.

The causes of the accident remain under investigation.
