Abe Laboriel, the American musician with deep ties to Mexico, has become a prominent name in the international music scene. Born into a family of renowned musicians, he’s the son of Mexican bassist Abraham Laboriel and the nephew of Johnny Laboriel. But today, many recognize him as the drummer for the iconic British musician Paul McCartney.

Laboriel’s journey in the music industry began touring as a drummer with the likes of guitarist Steve Vai. He then enhanced his musical repertoire, eventually performing with Sting’s legendary band. One notable collaboration was with K.D. Lang, which subsequently led to an invitation from Paul McCartney. In October 2001, McCartney asked Laboriel to join him on stage for a concert in New York City.
