Peso Pluma’s concerts rescheduled amidst security concerns related to CJNG death threats

Peso Pluma reschedules U.S. concerts following CJNG threats. New dates confirmed for late October, early November 2023.

In an unexpected turn of events, Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum announced the postponement of the highly anticipated Peso Pluma concert, originally slated for September 14, 2023. The rescheduled date, now set for November 4, 2023, has caused a stir among fans, many of whom are seeking refunds due to conflicts with the new date.

Fortunately for those who can still attend, there’s no need for a ticket exchange, as original purchases remain valid.

Peso Pluma, the popular singer of corridos tumbados, took to social media shortly after the announcement, revealing that the Milwaukee date wasn’t the only change. In total, four U.S. concert dates were shifted to the tail end of October and early November 2023. The reason behind these significant schedule modifications remains undisclosed. However, a dark cloud of speculation hovers over these changes, as recent threats against the singer from the CJNG (Jalisco Cartel – New Generation) have surfaced.

A disturbing warning from CJNG

Merely days before the rescheduling, a chilling message targeted at Peso Pluma was discovered on the Mirador de Playas vehicular bridge in Tijuana, Baja California. The National Guard reported finding a banner bearing a death threat against the singer, unmistakably signed by the CJNG.

The banner conveyed a stark message:

“This goes to you Peso Pluma, refrain from performing on October 14 because it will be your last performance. This is for disrespectful and loose tongue HPM. You show up and we will break your whole mother. Atte. CJNG.”

Notably, despite the overt threat and the general atmosphere of uncertainty, the October 14, 2023, concert in Tijuana remains scheduled, with tickets continuing to be available through FunTicket, offering access to Double P, VIP, and Individual zones. The entertainment industry and fans alike will be watching closely as events continue to unfold.
