Dania Méndez, the famed influencer and model known for her appearances on reality shows like “Acapulco Shore”, recently experienced a harrowing incident while participating in the reality show “Los 50.”
Méndez’s ordeal began when she sustained a hard blow during one of the show’s extreme competitions, leading to the bursting of one of her breast implants.
The incident left Méndez breathless for nearly an hour. Yet, surprisingly, the incident did not make it to the final cut of the show. “It was hard, they didn’t show everything, but I was an hour without air… I lasted a long time with my boobie like that (burst) inside ‘Los 50’ and they didn’t show it, I don’t know why.
But well, I am here and they have already changed my prosthesis”, Méndez recounted in an Instagram story, as reported by El Heraldo.
Méndez, seated on a clinic bed and in recovery, further explained that the age of her implants likely contributed to the rupture. “The implant couldn’t withstand the impact because it was almost 10 years old and it was time to change it,” she told her followers.
As a result of the accident, Méndez had to undergo emergency surgery to replace the damaged implant. While already undergoing surgery, the model opted to have a full-body liposuction and other figure corrections.
According to Méndez, due to her packed schedule, she had been unable to take care of herself as she usually would, leading to a weight gain of 10 kilograms over the course of the year.
This is not the first time Méndez has sought surgical interventions for aesthetic purposes. After her stint on “Acapulco Shore”, the influencer underwent several surgeries, including buttock augmentation, rhinoplasty, and bichectomy.
Thankfully, Méndez is now doing well following her recent surgeries. Her latest posts indicate that she has been discharged from the hospital and is continuing her recovery at home.
