Price of the dollar today August 11: how much does it cost in Mexico, Honduras, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica and Venezuela

The exchange day this Thursday for the US currency begins with a slight depreciation against its Mexican pair, but it appreciates against several of its peers in Latin America. The behavior of the dollar in Mexico is probably driven by the results of a possible slowdown in inflation in the United States.

The Mexican peso falls below the 20 barrier and stands at an average price of 19.95 pesos per dollar unit at mid-morning. At the bank window, the dollar drops to 19.70 pesos per dollar for purchase and 20.21 pesos per dollar for sale; the trend is down for the dollar and the Mexican peso may continue to gain ground.

In Mexico, this Thursday the new monetary policy of the Bank of Mexico is announced and the central bank interest rate is expected to rise by 75 basis points.

In the Honduran market today the dollar is trading at 24.60 lempiras per unit of greenbacks. The average range for the day moves between a minimum of 24.40 lempiras for purchase and a maximum of 24.80 for sale.

In Nicaragua, the dollar is quoted today at an average price of 35.90 cordobas per dollar unit. For buying and selling, the day’s range moves between 35.81 cordobas and 36 cordobas per dollar, respectively.

In Costa Rica, the average price of the dollar according to is 672 colones per greenback unit. In Costa Rican banks, the range is 669 for purchase and 675 colones per dollar for sale.

In the Dominican Republic, the exchange rate is 54.12 DOP per dollar unit. The price for the purchase and sale, goes back, and is calculated at 53.98 and 54.27 DOP per dollar unit, respectively.

In Venezuela, the official dollar rate given by the central bank is 5.91 bolivars per dollar unit; and the average for buying and selling moves between 5.91 bolívares per dollar and 5.92 bolívares per green currency.
