Professor is convicted of sexual harassment against his students in Mexico

The man was sentenced to two years and 10 months in jail, in addition to a fine.

The Specialized Prosecutor for Attention to Women in Chihuahua convicted a teacher identified as Raúl Alberto TR, for the crime of aggravated sexual harassment.

According to the police report, the subject harassed four female students, whom he “observed lasciviously and touched them”, in addition made inappropriate comments of a sexual natureaccording to the collection of information carried out by the authorities.

The Public Ministry affirms that the man committed the illicit behaviors between September to November of the year 2018 in a school located in the Revolution neighborhood, where he worked as a teacher.

“After the various inquiries, the FEM gathered evidence to request his presence before a Control Judge of the Morelos Judicial District, a hearing in which criminal proceedings were taken against him, says the letter exposed by the Chihuahua Prosecutor’s Office.

The defendant would have accepted his responsibility and submitted to a special procedure in which He was sentenced to two years and 10 months in well as the payment of the repair of the damage for the amount of 51 thousand 818 pesos.
