This week all of Colombia and the cycling world were shocked to learn that the multi-champion Egan Bernal suffered a serious accident while riding his bicycle at high speed on the highway that goes from Bogotá to Tunja. That is why the Colombian National Team took the opportunity to send him a greeting now that the athlete woke up after the surgeries.

Radamel Falcao García, scorer and captain of Colombia, led the group from the concentration and spoke for his teammates.

“Egan, we send you greetings from the Colombian National Team. All our prayers for you at this time, that you recover very soon and I hope we see you in the streets of the world representing our country as you always have. A hug”.

Colombia will play a crucial duel this Friday in Barranquilla against Peru and from their concentration they had this gesture for the winner of the Tour de France and Giro d’Italia.

Bernal’s accident had been on Monday, when he was going at high speed and collided with a bus that had parked on the road and the cyclist did not have time to maneuver, according to the Traffic Police.
