Ramón S. V. aka El Doctor, or El Soto, alleged Sinaloa Cartel’s boss in the state of Chihuahua died while playing basketball

On Thursday, December 15, the death was announced of Ramón S. V, alias ‘El Doctor,’ who was allegedly the head of Gente Nueva, the armed wing of the Sinaloa Cartel (CDS) in Chihuahua, but who was the man also nicknamed ‘El Soto’ or ‘El Doc’?

‘El Doctor’ was a former member of the Chihuahua State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) from Hidalgo del Parral who allegedly joined the ranks of the Sinaloa Cartel to carry out activities such as drug trafficking and others.

The alleged criminal had been arrested several times for crimes such as crimes against health, violation of the general law on firearms and explosives, usurpation of functions, operations with resources of illicit origin, organized crime, and money laundering.

According to El Heraldo Chihuahua, 2009, 2011, and 2015 were some of them. However, in 2019 he was released and continued his criminal career as the northern state’s main representative of the CDS.

El Doc passed away

Ramón S. V. died while exercising on the basketball courts when he began to feel ill and suddenly fainted. The cause of death, reported by the media, but not confirmed by the authorities, was a fulminant heart attack.

So far, it has not been said precisely when he died, but the news was confirmed by users of social networks who gave their condolences to his loved ones and family, in addition to posting some photographs.
