Rescue more than 300 Haitian migrants on the coast of Florida, USA


United States.- Some 300 Haitian migrants were rescued this Saturday by the United States Coast Guard after the shipwreck was stranded in Kay Lake off the coast of Florida.

The migrants were helped by the Coast Guard, as well as elements of the border police who helped them transfer to a smaller boat to be taken to the mainland.

According to a post by TelemundoCBP officers secured 113 migrants from Haiti who jumped into the water, while 200 remained in Coast Guard custody.

So far the case is being investigated, since agents assume a possible human trafficking operation.
