Wrapped in controversy, this is the way the Mexican-American Ricardo Pepi is found nowadays. The Augsburg striker is accused of liking a publication that show racism against Mexicans, described as monkeys.
As shown in a series of posts, a Twitter user wrote: “Facts. These Mexican monkeys admit they have no talent.”. Apparently, the US national team player gave him a Like, although he has Mexican ancestry.

Later, a group of netizens noticed and made a video capture of the publication to verify Pepi’s like, although it does not appear on his profile. Despite the fact that the Twitter user deleted the comment and restricted access to his account, the evidence was taken.
Ricardo Pepi, 19 years old, became last January the most expensive American to leave MLS for Europe. This season has not been the the best for him: in the six games he has played in the Bundesliga he has not managed to shake the nets. His team is three points away from the promotion zone.
