Rauw Alejandro, the Puerto Rican singer, was the first to confirm the split publicly. With a desire to put an end to the speculation and innuendos, he took to social media. “Yes, a few months ago, Rosi and I ended our engagement,” he admitted, seeking to dispel any rumors of infidelity toward the Catalan artist.
The singer continued, “Erroneous public allegations have arisen, and for the respect I have for her, for our families, and for everything we lived, I could not stay silent and continue to see how they try to destroy the most real story of love that God has allowed me to live.” This statement was his attempt to quell speculation surrounding the termination of his high-profile relationship with the Motomami.
Rauw’s statements, however, did not sit well with Rosalía’s fans, as it seems that the split might have occurred earlier than the Puerto Rican artist suggested. He further clarified, “There are thousands of problems that can cause a breakup, but in our case, it was not because of third parties or infidelity.” Following these statements, Rosalía felt compelled to share her side of the story.
Rosalía expressed her sentiments in a message shared on her Instagram stories, “I love, respect and admire Raúl very much. We don’t listen to movies, we know what we have lived through. This moment is not easy so thank you to everyone for understanding and respecting,” she stated.

There can’t be infidelity without a relationship
The initial theories of Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro’s breakup suggested alleged infidelity on the part of Rauw Alejandro, the Puerto Rican artist who has been touring Latin America for the past few months with his Saturno World Tour. Social media users quickly pointed fingers at two Colombian models, Laura Sanchez and Valeria Duque, who are known to be close friends. The latter was reportedly in Mexico at the same time as the singer, attending one of his tour concerts in the city.
These rumors had been gaining traction on social media for a few weeks. It was notable that Rosalía, who has never been shy about expressing her love for Rauw Alejandro in public, had recently been less interactive with him on social media. Furthermore, he was conspicuously absent from her farewell message at the end of the Motomami tour, which wrapped up last Saturday in Paris.
