Scream VI: Synopsis
Scream 6 is on the way and takes Ghostface to a new town full of new victims to terrorize.
The fifth film in the horror saga was released in 2022 and awakened an old menace in the town of Woodsboro, where a group of teenagers became the target of a savage serial killer who had done the same thing years before. Seeing the signs, Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) and Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox) decided to return to where it all began to help the new generation fight Ghostface and try to stop him once and for all.
Unfortunately for the heroines (which this time included Wednesday’s Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera), that wasn’t the end of Ghostface, and now the killer is preparing for a new “battle” in the sixth movie of the saga, where for the first time he moves away from the town where he first appeared.
Scream 6 was confirmed a few months ago, revealing that Ortega and Barrera are back as the Carpenter sisters, who will now be forced to finish what Sidney started.
The film’s synopsis states that: After the latest Ghostface murders, the four survivors leave Woodsboro behind and begin a new chapter. The first teaser of the sequel shows the survivors of the previous movie, they are traveling on the subway on what appears to be Halloween night, and they run into several people dressed as Ghostface, so they start to get nervous.
The teaser is taken out of context, but it seems to show the real Ghostface aboard that train and attacking one of the characters, which hints that he’s not going to rest until he wipes them all out.

The official trailer has finally been revealed, and in it, we can see Jenna Ortega and her sister in the movie, along with new victims of Ghostface, who is determined to finish what he started to finish them off, once and for all.
Apparently, there is some Ghostface cult, which means several people could be behind them, and they must find out who they are to survive and save their friends.
The cast
Jenna Ortega, who appeared in the You series and became Merlina Addams in the Tim Burton series, is again Tara Carpenter, who was attacked by Ghostface and managed to survive, while In the Heights’ Melissa Barrera plays her older sister, Sam (who turns out to be the long-lost daughter of Billy Loomis, who was the original Ghostface)….
From the previous film’s cast, the movie also brings back Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers, who will probably have to rejoin the fight against Ghostface, and Jasmine Savoy Brown as Mindy Meeks-Martin.
New actors include Jack Champion, Henry Czerny, Liana Liberato, Dermot Mulroney, Devyn Nekoda, Tony Revolori, Samara Weaving (from Ready or Not and The Babysitter) and Josh Segarra from Arrow and She-Hulk, who we can see alongside the Carpenter sisters on that train where Ghostface is seen again.

The new movie will hit theaters on March 10, 2023.
What is Scream 6 about?
After what happened in Woodsboro, Sam, and Tara are trying to leave the trauma behind and start new lives, but the past is not buried, which makes them have to face their demons again, and the enemy who wants to finish them off.
We don’t know if this Ghostface is the same one who attacked them in Woodsboro and now followed them to New York, but he is certainly someone who knows who the 4 survivors are and who has a plan to kill them all, following the tradition of the first killer.
