Becky G proves that she is a strong woman. Three months ago, she went through a difficult situation as Sebastian Lletget, her boyfriend at the time, confirmed rumors of infidelity. After some time, in which she prioritized herself, the American spoke for the first time about this situation.
The artist revealed that 2023 is a great year for her, as she has more professional recognition, but she is also showing her personal strength.
“This year has been a journey of great growth for me. I have faced difficult situations but have learned to handle them gracefully and not lose sight of who I am. I’m proud of how I’ve navigated everything,” she said in an interview with People en Español.
Becky G wants her personal life to remain private, so she did not detail whether she is currently single; however, she stressed that more than love for a partner, it is much more important to have self-love.
“Love is a beautiful and complex journey, and each person’s story is unique. I believe that love has the power to heal and transform, but nothing is more important than the love you have for yourself and your family,” she commented.
“Self-love also requires overcoming barriers and honoring your needs and desires. It’s about listening to your inner voice and making decisions aligned with your values and aspirations. It’s about believing in yourself, trusting your instincts, and pursuing what brings joy and fulfillment. Most importantly, when you accept and love yourself first, everything else falls into place,” she added.
It can be recalled that in December 2022, Becky G and Sebastian Lletget announced their engagement. However, a few months later, in March this year, after the Argentine businessman’s infidelity was rumored, he confirmed it and apologized to the singer on social networks for losing her partner’s trust.

Becky G told about an uncomfortable moment she lived in her company when she was in the boardroom. The singer mentioned that she was mistaken for one of the employees and did not like the treatment she received, but she was pleased with how she got out of the situation.
The interpreter of ‘Fulanito’ is an investor in the company of the Angel City FC club, a Californian soccer team of the National Women’s Soccer League in the United States. She went through this bad moment when she attended one of the work meetings.
“I walked into this room, and this older gentleman bumps into me and knocks his beer over me,” Becky G explained when she narrated this situation during Creative Artists Agency’s Amplify conference held in Ojai, CA. “Then the man was like, ‘Do you work here?” the star continued.
Far from being upset that she wasn’t recognized, as she is one of the leading figures in urban music and an interpreter of songs that have been listened to via streaming more than two billion times, the artist reacted otherwise.
“I was like … it hurt me like that,” said the singer when telling how her reaction was. “I loved feeling that way because I couldn’t wait to drop the bombshell that I would drop on him. [I said,] ‘No, actually, I’m one of the investors too,'” Becky G explained to the man, shocked by her response. “And he was like, ‘Oh?'”.
“I can’t wait to continue to be present in spaces like that and drop bombshells on people that say take that!” she said. “We have opportunities and a huge responsibility to be there for our communities.”
