The New York actor Kirk Douglas, who died in 2020 at age 103, spent the last days of his life in an imposing Beverly Hills mansion in California, which was recently launched on the market.
The property, for which Michael Douglas‘s father paid $ 400,000 USD in 1976 and dates from the 1920s, it is being sold for $ 7.5 million.
According to the technical file, released by various specialized media in the sale of real estate, the actor’s old home is distributed over a floor and has an area of 4,648 square feet, with four bedrooms and six bathrooms.
It also has a hall, kitchen, dining room, living room, main room, laundry room, among other rooms.
Outside, on its one-third-acre lot, is what really draws the attention, as it has very beautiful green areas, a terrace, a resort-style pool with its respective spa area, a guest house two-story and an incredible Hollywood Walk of Fame.
“There are 22 stones, some were from his previous property. It’s like Grauman’s Chinese Theater Hollywood Walk of Fame on steroids,” said Rochelle Altas Maize, who is in charge of its sale.
According to Maize, Kirk Douglas took advantage of the visit of his most distinguished guests to take them to his Walk of Fame to stamp his signature.
Among the personalities that were immortalized is the former president Ronald Reagan, as well as celebrities of the stature of Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Lucille Ball, Elizabeth Taylor and Barbra Streisand.
Maize expects that as of Monday, which is when the property will officially go on the market, it will receive a significant amount of business proposals. The property is going to the highest bidder considering the area’s land price, so it is likely that it will be sold above its starting price.
“I set it at the value of the land and nothing good in Beverly Hills sells for less than $ 9 million. We will accept offers as of Monday, and I hope to obtain 15 or more and that it will be sold substantially above the sale price,” said the agent.
