Monotonía” by Shakira and Ozuna has been one of the most anticipated music tracks of the year, as it is the first song of the Colombian after she ended her relationship with Gerard Piqué, the Spanish footballer of FC Barcelona, and the public was anxious to know what the Barranquilla-born performer had to say.

In less than 24 hours, the song reached the top of several charts and playlists. This song became the best Spanish-language YouTube debut of 2022, with more than 20 million plays in 24 hours, and Shakira celebrated with her fans, thanking them for the record.

“Only you, your magic has made this a spectacular debut,” said the Colombian via Twitter, along with several emojis of faces in love.

The image Shakira shared also details the song’s numbers on other platforms: #1 global trend on Youtube, #12 on Global Spotify Chart, Top New Entry in the Global Spotify Chart, and Highest Global New Entry on Global iTunes Chart.

More on Shakira:

The video of “Monotonía” shows how Shakira is shot straight through the heart, leaving a large hole in the middle of her chest. The Colombian then picks up that vital organ from the floor, crosses a path until she reaches her destination, and keeps her heart in a safe, locked.

Everything seems to indicate that this is how Shakira feels after the alleged infidelity of the Spanish soccer player, who already boasts all his love for Clara Chia Marti. Piqué and his new partner have already been seen on many occasions. They have even traveled together to Paris.
