Jim Carrey, 60, joins the list of artists who have expressed their position against actor Will Smith for assaulting his colleague Chris Rock during the 94th edition of the Oscar Awards, he also thinks that “something frustrates him”.
In several media outlets it is shared that Jim, star of films such as The Mask, disapproves that the Hollywood actors present at the Dolby Theater applauded Will Smith when he received his award after slapping Chris Rock.

“The standing ovation grossed me out. Hollywood is just a mass. I really felt like it’s a very clear indication that we’re not the cool club anymore,” Carrey said during his appearance on CBS Mornings.
Jim also points out that no one has the right to go on stage to hit someone who is on it, like Will Smith did: “That insult is going to go on for a long time. If you want to yell from the audience and show disapproval or say something on Twitter, that’s fine, but you don’t have the right to go up on stage and punch someone in the face because they said words ”.

Jim Carrey believes that the slap he gave Chris came out of nowhere because he has something inside him that frustrates him: “I wish him the best. I have nothing against Will Smith. He has done great things, but that was not a good time. He cast a shadow on everyone’s shining moment last night… It was selfish.”
