On October 9, the government of Guerrero, in Mexico, unveiled a statue of the Mexican comedian Eugenio Derbez. This was built in front of the Elcano hotel, very close to the coastal avenue, however, the population has made very clear its displeasure at the fact.

The government of Acapulco considered that it was the way to thank you bringing the culture of the area to his new series for Apple TV +: “Acapulco,” which premiered on October 8.

“Inauguration of the Eugenio Derbez roundabout in gratitude for his contribution to the dissemination of Acapulco in the world,” said the plaque of the comedian’s statue.
