Kawhi Leonard stays in Los Angeles. An open secret that had been known for a few weeks in the NBA universe became official this Thursday. The Clippers will retain their star with a multi-million dollar contract: $ 176.3 million for four years.

Leonard will stay with Paul George in Los Angeles. It is the duo that Steve Ballmer bet on to give the Clippers an NBA title. And for a long time the attempt will continue with both as main figures of the franchise.

Last season, “The Claw” suffered a ligament injury that forced him to miss the remainder of the postseason. The Clippers advanced to the Conference Finals, but lost to the Phoenix Suns.
Kawhi Leonard is from Los Angeles. Therefore, continuing to live in his hometown and with a competitive team by his side was the most logical option. He averaged 24.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.2 assists in the just ended season.
The Los Angeles Clippers will continue in the fight with the elite for the NBA title. There is Kawhi for a while.
