A man murdered his ex-partner on Friday in the parking lot of a residential complex in Cabo Rojo and then committed suicide, according to the Puerto Rican police.
The woman, Wanda I. Santiago Asencio, 46, was found with gunshot wounds inside a Hyundai motor vehicle in the parking lot of the San Francisco Village housing complex, located on Highway 312 Kilometer 2.2 in Cabo Rojo .
According to the statement, a man identified as Edil Cabán Vázquez Residente, who was the ex-partner of the occisa, made several gunshot wounds, which caused his death.
Later, on the same highway 312 and inside a Toyota motor vehicle, model Tacoma, Cabán deprived himself of his life.
The Homicide Division of the Mayagüez Area, together with prosecutor Iván Blondet, took charge of the investigation of this apparent case of domestic violence.
