A surveillance camera in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, captured the moment when a young man robs a car parked at a gas station with a 2-year-old girl inside.

Lavincent Fisher, 19, faces charges including kidnapping and illegal detention of a minor under the age of 13, for the incident reported Monday afternoon at a Chevron store on West Sunrise Boulevard.

The images of the security videos show from the moment the suspect leaves the business, gets in the car and starts the flight.

The woman, realizing what is happening, rushes to the car to try to stop the criminal, who hits her with the car in the legs.

The mother called 911 to report the situation while together with a “good Samaritan” he pursues the subject.

Finally, the suspect abandons the vehicle one mile from the gas station.

According to the Local 10 television report, agents managed to arrest the alleged thief on Tuesday for an anonymous tip that indicated that the defendant was on Northwest 7th Street and 15th Terrace.

This Wednesday, the young man appeared at a judicial hearing to face the accusations against him.
