Suspension of 27 JetBlue flight routes will have a major impact on Florida starting this month

44% of JetBlue routes that have already begun to be suspended involve flights from Florida.

The available list of flight destinations interrupted as part of the changes announced by the company this year mentions at least nine flights departing from that state. One arrives in Key West from Austin, Texas. Another leaves from JFK airport in New York and arrives in Key West. The above are not the only routes involving Florida.

Most trips that won’t be available until at least October or November depart from the Fort Lauderdale airport.

Another airport that will also be significantly affected by the schedule changes is Newark International Airport in New Jersey, where seven routes will be interrupted starting this month.

Affected flights include US cities like Las Vegas, but also international destinations like Cancun, Mexico.

The New York-based airline confirmed last week that it will begin disrupting or eliminating some 27 flight routes, partly due to the high cost of gasoline.

Also, the company explained that the action is due to the fact that many of these routes created during the pandemic no longer respond to market trends.

The first flights will not be available from April 1.

Of the 27 routes, only two will be permanently removed; from Austin, Texas, to Cancun, Mexico; and Nashville, Tennessee, to Cancun.

Here are the JetBlue routes that will experience changes or be eliminated:
