Adria Arjona is a Guatemalan-American actress. She is known for her roles in the television series True Detective and the film Pacific Rim: Uprising.
Arjona was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala, the daughter of an advertising executive and a psychologist. She moved to San Juan, Puerto Rico, with her family when she was six years old. Arjona graduated from high school in 2007, and then moved to New York City to study acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.
Arjona made her television debut in the 2013 episode “The Call” of the police procedural series, Blue Bloods. She has also appeared in episodes of the television series Person of Interest, The Blacklist, and ER.
In 2016, Arjona was cast as one of the leads in the second season of the HBO anthology crime drama series, True Detective. She played the role of Ana Flores, a Guatemalan woman who is smuggled into the United States and becomes involved in a relationship with one of the detectives investigating a case.
