CJNG
The Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG) is a Mexican criminal organization and drug trafficking cartel. It was founded in 2011 after the death of Ignacio Coronel Villarreal, a leader of the Sinaloa Cartel. The CJNG has since grown into one of Mexico’s most influential and violent criminal groups. The cartel is involved in various illegal activities, including drug trafficking, kidnapping, extortion, and murder.
Under the leadership of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, also known as “El Mencho,” the CJNG has expanded its presence in Mexico and internationally. The group is notorious for its brutal tactics, including targeting security forces and rival cartels. Due to the violence and criminal activities associated with the CJNG, the Mexican government and the United States have made significant efforts to dismantle the organization and apprehend its leadership.
