While federal income taxes are often the first that come to mind when people think of taxes, states and localities vary widely in how they tax businesses and individuals.

To determine the US cities where residents pay the most taxes, ChamberOfCommerce.org researchers released the total estimated tax percentage of a family of three earning $75,000 per year in each location.
