The next adaptation of Oshi no Ko television anime will premiere in 2023 with a 90-minute first episode. A teaser image was also released, featuring Ai Hoshino, who will be played by Rie Takahashi in the anime series.

The production staff consists of Daisuke Hiramaki (Selection Project, Asteroid in Love) who runs the show with Chao Nekotomi (Shikimori’s Not Just A Cutie opening director and screenwriter, dance part director and screenwriter for Selection Project Episode 7) as assistant director.
Kanna Hirayama (Selection Project, Rent-A-Girlfriend) is the character designer, while Jin Tanaka (Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club, Laid-Back Camp) is the writer of the series. Doga Kobo handles animation production.
The original Japanese comic is written by aka akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is Wa) and illustrated by Yokoyari Mengo (Scum’s Wish). It was first serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine on April 23, 2020 and is published under the Young Jump Comics imprint.
Eight tankoubon volumes have been released as of June 2022, with a ninth volume to be released on October 19, 2022. News of the Oshi no Ko anime was released in June 2022 and as the following creator title of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War.

Yen Press describes the synopsis as, “Gorou is a gynecologist and idol fan who is in shock after his favorite star Ai announces an impromptu hiatus.”
“Little does Gorou realize that he is about to forge a bond with her that defies all common sense! Lies are an idol’s greatest weapon in this outrageous manga by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari.” The Oshi no Ko anime will arrive in 2023.
