President Russell M. Nelson, the 17th president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will participate remotely in the October 2023 general conference. This decision comes after the recent fall that President Nelson experienced, which resulted in him injuring the muscles in his lower back. As a result, he will not be attending the Saturday and Sunday sessions of the conference in person.

Despite not being able to attend in person, President Nelson remains committed to sharing his message with the Church members. In a general conference message, he shared his plans for participation and expressed his gratitude for the technology that allows him to connect with the Church members. He will be watching the conference through technology, just like most of the viewers.
