Jorge Humberto Pérez Cazares, aka the Cadet, alleged financial operator of the Sinaloa Cartel (CDS), suffered the curse that afflicts those who once had a relationship with Joaquín “el Chapo” Guzmán, as he was extradited by the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) to the United States.

Pérez Cazares is required by the Federal District Court for the District of Columbia to be prosecuted for his probable responsibility in the crimes of criminal association and against health.

“Jorge ‘P’ probably acted as a financial operator for a criminal organization,” the Attorney General’s Office reported in a statement.

“And as a link with drug trafficking organizations in Guatemala and Colombia, to transport cocaine from these countries, through Mexico, with final destination to the United States of America,” he detailed in the message to the media.

The delivery was made at the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) to United States agents designated for its transfer.

The arrest of the Cadet

It was in May 2016, when members of the Secretary of the Navy (Semar) and personnel of the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) detained Jorge Humberto Pérez Cázares, who since then was considered one of the financial operators of the Cartel of Sinaloa, in the municipality of San Miguel de Allende, in the state of Guanajuato.

His capture, which was ordered by Interpol Mexico for extradition purposes, which the United States Government formulated against the arrested person following an arrest warrant issued by the Federal Court for the District of Columbia for the commission of the crimes of criminal association and against health (drug trafficking).

On the day of his arrest, the Cadet was transferred to the Federal Center for Social Readaptation number 1 Altiplano, in the central state of Mexico.
