HOUSTON – COVID-19 continues to be news, this Wednesday the Houston Police Department Chief Troy Finner announced that he has tested positive for the virus.
Finner said that on Tuesday he learned that he may have been exposed to COVID-19, so he canceled his public activities and decided to undergo tests. His precautions were correct.
“This afternoon I found out that I tested positive. I have mild symptoms and will spend the next few days isolated at home and resting,” the chief said.
Finner urged anyone who was in close proximity to him this past weekend to get tested to determine whether or not they have the virus.
Cases of COVID-19 infection in the city of Houston have risen notably in recent weeks, although the number of hospitalizations and deaths from it remain at very low levels.
