The time Thalía made fun of Shakira and her music live

A clip where Thalia refused to meet Shakira and made fun of her music has gone viral.

Currently, Thalia and Shakira are two of the most successful Latin singers of the last decades. However, there is no collaboration between the two musical stars, much less is it known that they have any friendship relationship.

All this seems to be based on a bad attitude that the Mexican had toward the Colombian, which would have made the interpreter of “Waka Waka” reject any possibility of collaborating musically with her.

Just as it is said that Luis Miguel hates Shakira for rejecting him, it transpires after a viral video where Thalia mocked the Colombian in a live show and rejected her music.

Shakira’s best songs

Thanks to the power of social networks, a video has gone viral where the singer of “Amor a la Mexicana” refuses to meet Shakira and even makes fun of her musical creation. It was in 1998 when Thalia was a special guest on a TV show in Brazil. This awkward moment occurred when a girl from the audience asked her what she thought about the music of the Colombian singer, surprising her reaction because, apparently, she had made fun of her.

Faced with the girl’s question, the Mexican asked what she was indicating, and between some gestures, she answered, “Shakira? She’s rock, isn’t she?” to which the audience laughed.

Due to the spontaneity of her answer, many assured that the Mexican singer made a rebuff to Shakira’s work since, at that moment, both were fighting at the top of the popularity charts with their songs.
