The pandemic response team from the White House He defended this Wednesday during a press conference his approach on the vaccine for children, between five and eleven years old, despite the opposite effects that may occur and that raise certain doubts in the scientific community.
The team also detailed that the United States achieved 400 million doses of vaccine against Covid-19, although 60 million people who have not been vaccinated are still registered in the country.
The director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC Rochelle Walensky said on her official Twitter account that “as we anticipate the authorization of vaccines for children, we can continue to protect them from those around with vaccinated people, encourage the use of masks, choose outdoor activities free, wash your hands ”.
The coordinator of the Government’s response to the pandemic, Jeff Zients, said at the press conference that when the vaccine is authorized for children between five and eleven years old, millions of doses will be sent to inoculate this population group that reaches the 28 million.
Zients unveiled on the 400 million of doses achieved so far, as well as the fact that fifteen million people have already received a booster dose of the brands allowed in the country (Pfizer, Moderna and J&J).
