During his press conference from Zacatecas, the president announced that he will present a plan to reinforce security, which includes the delivery of resources and the deployment of elements of the National Guard.

During La Mañanera, López Obrador announced the plan to reinforce security in the state which includes the deployment of elements of the National Guard in the areas with the highest incidence of violence, resources and “our solidarity”.

“The Zacatecans are not alone, they have the support of the federal government and the same can be said regarding the support of the Zacatecas governor, all of our support,” the president reaffirmed.

For his part, the governor of the state, David Monreal thanked the president for his support and affirmed that with this, hope will be restored to the inhabitants of Zacatecas, who in recent days have witnessed a series of violent events, such as the discovery of nine bodies hanging on a road bridge.

Zacatecas faces a fight between the Sinaloa cartels and the Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG), which is why it has been classified as one of the states with the highest homicide rate so far this year, with about 37 per 100,000 inhabitants.
