After a long wait, Javier Hernández returned to the courts after an injury that separated him from the engram for just over a month. On his return to MLS, the Mexican striker had a clear scoring opportunity that he could not effectively realize and, in this sense, could have opened the scoring early for the Los Angeles Galaxy.
“Chicharito” returned to United States soccer as a starter in the game in which the LA Galaxy visited Colorado Rapids. Near the 10th minute of play, Hernández could not take advantage of a great center from Víctor Vásquez. The Aztec was totally free of mark, but his shot went far from the goal of William Paul Yarbrough.
Javier Hernández played the entire first half and was substituted after 62 minutes on the field. The match ended 1-1, but in memory there is still that clear goal opportunity that the Mexican wasted.
Funes Mori or “Chicharito”
After Mexico will play its first three games in the Concacaf Octagonal Final, there was a player who was constantly singled out. Rogelio Funes Mori was questioned for missing clear goal plays for El Tri. Their mistakes motivated many to cry out for the convocation of Javier Hernández as soon as he recovered from his injury.
