the tv presenter Ellen Degeneres64, decided to put on the market the luxurious ‘mansion’ he owns in Montecito, Calif.for which you are asking for the amount of $13.9 million dollars.
True to their custom, Ellen and Portia de Rossi they did not acquire the house to inhabit it, but they did it as an investment.
The imposing property was purchased by the couple, in September 2021 in an off-market operation, after disbursing $12 million dollars.
If everything goes as planned, in just five months they would be making a profit of almost $2 million dollars.
The increase in the price of the abode is not only due to Ellen and Portia’s keen eye for houses, but also due to the slight improvements they made to it.
The ‘mansion’, which dates from 2018 and was built on one floor, has an area of 4,780 square feetwith three bedrooms, with three full bathrooms and two half bathrooms.
It is completed by a hall, kitchen, dining room, living room, main room, massage room, game room, office, gym, wine cellar, laundry room, guest house, garage for three vehicles, among other rooms.
The kitchen is open and somewhat spacious. It is equipped with chocolate-toned cabinets, high-end appliances and a central island that can work to prepare food, but also as a breakfast area for four people.
The main bedroom has more than enough space for a large bed and a small living room. It also has a dressing room and a bathroom with a double vanity, with a toilet, a bathtub and a walk-in shower.
Outside, on its 0.72-acre lot, it enjoys a terrace, a bonfire, a fountain, and desert vegetation, among other amenities.
The lack of a swimming pool is a factor that detracts several points from the very cozy residence, but Ellen and Portia hope that this will not be a determining factor in their search for new owners.
