The market is still open and Tigres UANL wants to be aggressive to strengthen their offensive front with a South American talent like Yeferson Soteldo, who is part of MLS’s Toronto FC and is a regular in the Venezuelan national team.
To undertake this sporting operation, Tigres would send Carlos Salcedo to the Canadian team and thus leave everyone at ease. This information was advanced by Halftime.
In a report, the aforementioned media added that the directors of both clubs are in negotiations to agree on the amounts of the transfers. Salcedo would go on to become a franchise player at Toronto FC, which also signed Lorenzo Insigne. Said club is run by Bob Bradley.

While Soteldo, a skillful winger with a right profile who is 24 years old, would play alongside Gignac, Thauvin and Sebastián Córdova in the attack of ‘Piojo’ Miguel Herrera.
Salcedo had asked the Tigres board to let him go to European football, but an offer of that caliber never came. Palmeiras was interested and then they gave up when closing the transfer of Murilo Cerqueira, 24 years old.
This information was also corroborated by journalist Michael Singh:
“Toronto FC have reached an agreement that will see Yeferson Soteldo leave the club after just 9 months. Additionally, you can confirm that TFC will acquire Mexican international CB Carlos Salcedo from Liga MX’s Tigres. I will add, don’t be surprised if those two moves are related.”
