TSA Makes Major Bust at JFK Airport: 90 Pounds of Marijuana Found in Passenger’s Checked Bag

At NYC’s JFK Airport during the week of Thanksgiving, Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officials made a major bust. In a passenger’s checked bag, they discovered 90 pounds of marijuana.

The screening process uncovered the massive amount of drugs, which were split into 30 individual bags, each weighing approximately three pounds. Once the TSA notified the Port Authority Police, the passenger was arrested.

The TSA spokesperson stated that although the agency does not actively search for drugs during inspections when illicit substances are found, police are notified. The charges the passenger, who was not named, is facing remain unknown.
