Vermont police officer charged with soliciting sex and nude photos from women he knew during on-duty hours

An officer from the Caledonia County Sheriff’s Department He is accused of offering money to solicit sex and nude photos of women. that he met under his duties, but sought an agreement in order to avoid going to jail.

Stephen Bunnell, pleaded guilty before the Superior Criminal Court of the County of Caledonia in St. Johnsbury, on charges less than Telephone Disruption and Prohibited Conducthas a $100 fine and a two-year deferred sentence.

The policeman spent part of his duty time looking for photos of naked women on his mobile phone without attending to the needs of the public. even more serious, the subject asked women he knew when he was on duty, to have sex in exchange for money.

The complaint against Bunnell was through a woman who confessed that she met him while he was doing his job applying an infraction. The complainant revealed that they had sexual intercourse during the hours he was supposedly working, and on most occasions he offered between $300 and $400, the VTDigger newspaper explained.

During his hearing, Bunnell pleaded guilty to all charges and attached to his confession that he asked women for nude photos which he also knew through his role as a law enforcement officer.

The defendant’s attorney explained that the plea agreement allowed his client to take responsibility for the crimes he had committed, and also dismiss other charges to avoid going to jail.
