Several months ago, Saúl Canelo Álvarez celebrated the 15th birthday of his eldest daughter, Emily Cinnamon, the product of his romantic relationship with Karen Beltrán. At the time, both were only 17 years old, and their romance has since ended.
Now, their young daughter has grown and developed a keen interest in horse riding, a passion supported by both parents. What’s caught everyone’s attention, however, is the young woman’s debut as a runway model.
Emily Cinnamon has spoken candidly about her recent foray into the modeling industry. “The truth is, it was spontaneous. My mom told me that ‘they are calling for you to represent the 200-year dress of Jalisco’. And, it was the first thing that came to my mind, my dad fought on the day of Jalisco’s 200 years, and I thought, ‘what other way that is not related to sports, can I represent Jalisco'” she shared on the Mexican television program Ventaneando (TV Azteca). “The only thing I see in my future is studying and horse riding. I haven’t had the opportunity or the desire to try anything else. But, honestly, I’m happy with sports and school”.
Her mother, Beltrán, is prepared to help her daughter fulfill her dreams; thus, if she wants to pursue a modeling career, she will support her. “She has always been a very obedient girl. She is a very beautiful girl, very noble. She knows where she stands,” she said. “I wouldn’t deny her if [Emily] at some point decides [and wants to dedicate herself to modeling]. I have always been there for her and to support her. Horses are her top priority, so I don’t think it would be too difficult for her to leave them behind”.
Emily Cinnamon also revealed that she had congratulated her father, Saúl Canelo Álvarez, who turned 33 on July 18, 2023. However, they are not together because the boxer is in training. “I wrote to him early, as soon as I woke up. I wrote ‘congratulations’ and a huge paragraph of many congratulations and that I hope to see him soon because he is in preparation for his fight,” she concluded.
