This Friday the dollar is trading negative in Mexico, to complete a full week in decline, the price today is 19.79 units per green currency. A minimal difference, but negative with respect to the price of yesterday Thursday.
At a bank window, for the purchase the Mexican currency is quoted at 19.56 units per dollar and for the sale the price is 20.03 pesos per green currency.
This week the Federal Reserve offered economic data in its data report after its monetary committee meeting this week, assuring that inflation will remain high and will persistently rise. Inflation will be above the Fed’s target of 2% per year.
However, Jerome Powell, Chairman of the Federal Reserve, reported that despite everything the US economy is recovering rapidly from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. And that one of the reasons why inflation remains high is because of supply problems.
