Next Sunday, May 14, TV Azteca will be back on TV Azteca’s screen with a new season of MasterChef Celebrity, the celebrity edition of the world-renowned gastronomic program.
This new season has brought several changes: new chefs who will be in charge of evaluating the participants, the absence of beloved characters such as chef Betty Herrera and chef Joserra Castillo, and the presence of a new host to replace Tatiana, this time Claudia Lizaldi.
Tatiana remained at the helm of the program in the two editions of the show broadcast in 2002, in its “Kids” and “Celebrity” formats, after several years in which this task was in the hands of Anette Michel.
Among speculations about whether the actress would return to “the most famous kitchen in Mexico,” as known on TV Azteca, other names were considered. However, Claudia Lizaldi’s name was announced at the end of March 2023 in the program Ventaneando, where the addition of chefs Zahie Téllez and Poncho Cadena and the return of an old acquaintance: Adrián Herrera was also reported.
“People waiting for what will happen in MasterChef Celebrity, there is a change in the conduction. Claudia Lizaldi enters. We have to see how she does it. I think it can be”, mentioned Daniel Bisogno in the evening program.
The host added: “Adrián Herrera returns. Here are Zahie Téllez and Poncho Cadena, both from the Gourmet channel. Zahie Téllez has a restaurant in the Roma Market, where she makes some broths. You don’t know how; besides, she is very nice and beautiful”.
Who is Claudia Lizaldi, and what has she done on television?
She is a 44-year-old Mexican model, actress, and TV presenter. She has also ventured into self-improvement, a field in which she has written three books: La decisión: es tu vida, tú eliges; Puro corazón ( only of photographs) and Un abrazo para mamá.

Likewise, the Mexico City-born has served as a host of successful programs such as Hoy Sábado, Nuestra casa, La Oreja, Nuestro día, Grandes Chicos, La Jugada, Teletón and La Fábrica de Garra, which was her most recent work on television, in 2017.
Claudia studied Communication Sciences at the Universidad del Valle de México, after which she learned acting at the Centro de Formación Actoral CEFAC of TV Azteca. She later joined Canal Once of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional as host of the emblematic quiz show A la cachi, cachi, porra.
Her performance in the university program led Televisa to invite her to join its ranks, where she also trained at the Centro de Educación Artística, CEA, to later participate in multiple productions of the San Angel company.

Lizaldi has also attracted attention for her versatility because she is an actress, host, and writer. She is also a businesswoman and activist dedicated to various social causes, such as the environment with Greenpeace and food, with the foundation Un kilo de ayuda.
In addition, in 2012, she became the director of the website Mamá Natural, a space where information related to parenting was published.

It is worth remembering that in 2004, Claudia won second place in the reality show Big Brother VIP edition, where Eduardo Videgaray triumphed. Since then, she has become more popular on the small screen. She has managed to dabble in projects of notable audiences, mostly on Televisa, since she can now be seen Sunday to Sunday by Azteca Uno, hosting the famous reality show of gastronomic creations.
