El Quino, son of El Chapo, is a character in the Netflix series. He is one of the drug trafficker’s eldest sons, played by Ivan Aragon, and corresponds to Ivan Archivaldo.
El Quino, El Chapo’s son, appears for the first time in chapter 2 of the second season, which supposedly takes place in 2000 at the exact moment when the PTI loses power after facing the PAD in the presidential elections. At this point in the story, El Chapo is looking for a way to create a federation with the different cartels in the country, which a single leader would lead.

Who is Chapo’s first son?
Edgar Guzman Lopez was the first son of Joaquin Guzman Loera, “El Chapo. The young man was one of the key pieces in the Sinaloa Cartel’s scheme, just like his brothers, known as “Chapitos,” who is wanted by the US justice system and for whom up to five million dollars are being offered for each of their heads.
Known as “El Negro”, Chapo’s son was murdered in a shopping mall in Culiacán, Sinaloa, on May 8, 2008. Although 13 years after this dark episode in the life of “El Chapo” Guzmán, the cause of this attack against him has not been clarified, it is said that it was all due to a settling of scores between the Sinaloa Cartel and the Beltrán Leyva Cartel.

It is said that “El Chapo Guzmán” ordered to buy all the roses in Culiacán, about 50,000 red roses, to be used in his son’s funeral. According to media reports, it was revealed that Guzmán Loera left the flower sellers no time to restock for May 10.
How many are Chapo’s children?
The former leader of the Sinaloa Cartel has acknowledged ten children by three different women. However, unofficial reports indicate that he may have as many as 23 offsprings, counting those he had out of wedlock.
Guzmán married María Alejandrina Salazar Hernández in 1997, with whom he had four children: Jesús Alfredo and Iván Archivaldo, known as “Los Chapitos,” as well as the children of Griselda López Pérez and César.
In his marriage to Alejandrina Giselle, Guzmán also had four children: Joaquín, Edgar, Ovidio, and Griselda Guadalupe.
El Chapo and Emma Coronel had twin daughters born in Los Angeles in 2011: María Joaquina and Emali.
What did Ovidio Guzmán do?
In April 2018, Ovidio Guzman and his brother Joaquin were indicted by the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia for conspiring to distribute more than five kilograms of cocaine, 500 grams of methamphetamine, and 1,000 kilograms of marijuana; drug trafficking charges were filed against them.
El Quino, El Chapo’s son, and his offspring have been linked to drug trafficking, directly or indirectly, and all have suffered from the reach of the cartel network throughout Mexico.
