The consumption of alcoholic beverages, even in moderate amounts, can affect the health of your heart. Some drinks can be even more dangerous than others.
A study published in the European Heart Journal reveals that starting at low levels of alcohol consumption, such as a habitual intake of 1 or 2 alcoholic drinks per day, is associated with an increased risk of atrial fibrillation compared to adults who do not consume alcohol .
Drinking alcohol can increase cardiovascular risk, according to research led by a team from Massachusetts General Hospital and the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard.

3. Alcohol with coffee
Cocktails that mix alcohol with coffee can not only affect sleep, but also heart rate, since coffee is a source of caffeine. As we anticipated, the combination of caffeinated alcoholic beverages with alcohol can be dangerous.
4. Drinks with a high alcohol content
Some cocktails that mix several types of alcohol in measures that individually constitute an alcoholic beverage, usually have a high degree of alcohol. There are also craft beers that are high in alcohol content and can be even more dangerous if not consumed in moderation.
An alcoholic beverage equivalent is defined as containing 14 grams (0.6 fluid ounces) of pure alcohol.
Examples of an alcoholic beverage:
Beer: 12 fluid ounces of regular beer (5% alcohol)
Came: 5 fluid ounces of wine (12% alcohol)
Spirits (gin, rum, vodka, tequila, whiskey, etc): 1.5 fluid ounces (40% alcohol).
