Mexico.- Senator Lilly Tellez came out in defense of journalist Azucena Urestiafter the different accusations that the communicator received for allegedly leaking information about the autopsy of the young woman Debanhi Escobar.
In social networks, Lilly Téllez indicated that Azucena is a credible journalist, reason enough to demerit her work, which is presented in Milenio.
“All the solidarity and support for the journalist @azucenau. They attack her because she has the credibility and the courage to do the journalism that the Republic needs. Take heart, you are not alone,” she wrote on Twitter.

And it is that, after new details were released about the cause of death of Debanhi Escobar, the father of the murdered young woman questioned the source of the journalist, who deliberately released a first report on the autopsy of her daughter.
Uresti defends himself
Following Mario Escobar’s remarks, Azucena Uresti gave her response on the morning of May 13, 2022, assuring that her coverage of the case of Debanhi Escobar it has been “truthful, critical of authority, and sticking to the facts.”
The Milenio journalist assured that she will continue reporting on the subject, refusing to apologize to Debanhi’s father, who exhibited alleged WhatsApp messages in which Uresti declares himself “on the side of the Prosecutor’s Office” of Nuevo León.
“I just saw the message from Mario, Debanhi’s father. In this regard, I only point out that our coverage has been truthful, critical of authority and attached to the facts and you can review it. Mario, you know it. I will continue to work under this commitment always” Uresti wrote on Twitter.
In another post, lily She assured that the alleged WhatsApp conversation was false and those messages had not been sent by her, because according to the time of sending, she was already on the air on her newscast.
“Here are two answers to questions that have been asked of me: First, obviously, I did not write the message attributed to me. We are investigating what happened because it was about to go on the air, my last message was at 9:30 p.m. and someone took an attribution without my consent.
“Second, no document was leaked to me, I reported what El País revealed on its website. Campaigns to harm are becoming more frequent, but I don’t have to hide anything at all and the facts speak for themselves. Thank you for your support,” he added.
